Letter from Oliver Filley to Jay Filley, dated October 2, 1860, states that he believes the Prince of Wales was pleased with his reception in St. Louis, Mo.; letter from Harry Whiton to Grace Filley Bidwell describes the steelyards and wagons his grandfather made when he lived in the Bloomfield, Conn., area.
